Took the family for a relaxing dinner on the river. We made reservations for the seven of us on Saturday night at 6:45pm. When we got there we were seated right away on the back dock waterside just as we requested. TIP the sunsets over the main building right about this time so don't worry about sitting in the sun for too long.
They have some fans blowing but not real efficiently. So don't count on then to keep cool. The service was slow. We ordered appitizers got them after some time. Then long after we finished them or waiter stopped by and asked if we were done. It took too long to take the order.
Food is Outstanding! All the fish dishes were ample size. The Grouper Parm was the Best on the table. Chicken Wings had good heat spice and were crispy but of medium at best sized.
This is a beer and wine service only.
Would I go back YES and have been for years! -

Got up and left - LOL!
We had frequented this place a few years back (maybe 3 years - cannot recall). Always sat indoors - it was rustic - not pretentious , kinda liked that, the menu was appealing and the food was good. At the time they had some Jamaican inspired dishes (reggae music playing) - always left happy. We always did observe the the "drinkers" on the patio received more attention than the inside diners - but ok (We know the alcohol is what makes establishment the most money.)
Anyway, we remembered this place last night and decided to take a drive and have dinner. Entered the place - went through restaurant and made our way outside and "found" hostess (the sign instructs you to). Told her we wanted inside seating. Was told to sit anywhere we wanted. Went to a side room - but asked "are we going to be seen in here" (but chose table closest to the doorway - just in case) hostess assured us we would and said she would get our server now.
Table we chose turned out to be askew (my husband had to literally go under table and adjust the wood pieces that were placed under table legs - took several attempts to make table straight in addition to not rocking).
We went early (and on a Sunday night) - No diners at all inside except for us at the time. Some diners on outside deck. Well..... we waited and waited and waited and waited. Read the menu 3 times. Not even a server to take our drink orders, or bring a glass of water. Noticed a waitress in the other room eating something - but hey she could have been on a break. No other employees (table preppers, etc. lifted their eyes when passing).
After that we heard guests enter the front - they never passed us because they sat indoors as well (no hostess required). Waited... waited, waited - until we heard those guests being greeted by a server and taking their orders.
We got up and left. That table of diners, that arrived sometime after us were being serviced.
1) No one even acknowledged us. 2) The menu was uninspiring (but were looking forward to hearing the specials - didn't get a chance to. 3) We were relieved that we didn't pay $60-$70 to an establishment that doesn't care.
Ended up driving to "The Mansion" in Melbourne - first time there. Find me review!!!! It's good - :) -

Beautiful view from the deck at the back. Crab cakes were very nice and the staff and owner were wonderful. Also recommend their fish specials

Went for dinner and had the grouper special that came over angel hair pasta. The grouper was tasty but the pasta had no flavor at all. I spoke to the waitress about how dry and tasteless it was and she brought me a plastic container of unseasoned olive oil. No vegetables or bread were served. My friend asked for bread and was told they had garlic bread for an extra $2. Overpriced for what it was.

I have been here a few times and every time have had a hard time getting good service. What should have taken an hour took two because we were constantly looking for someone to serve us. We wanted to pay the bill when we left but no one would bring it. w
We had to bring our card and check up to the register where we got a not very pleasant look from the waitress. One good thing was the food. This place could have so much business given the pleasant atmosphere. However, until they change their staff or train them properly, it will not reach that friendly fun place to go.
